Get Clients NOW! Workshop – Special Offer

On October 10th, I will be starting my rendition of the Get Clients NOW!TM -28 Day program. This started as a basic referral, networking type program and with the influence of Social Media, I had introduced a special session on how use social media to extend the conversation. My Achieving Expert Status and Marketing your Black Belt has been an outgrowth of this program.

The bottom line is that if you want immediate business you must institute an action plan to maximizing the creation and leveraging of your touch-points with prospects and customers. The truth of the matter is that the principles that are contained in this program are the same basic principles that is still make marketing successful today. Some of the tools have changed but that is covered rather easily in the session. The basic ideas are

  1. Planning out a program that you can implement immediately.
  2. Recognize Short-term improvements needed and develop actions to correct.
  3. Review Long-term improvements and develop actions to correct.
  4. Simplifying (not just automating) what works and ridding yourself of what doesn’t work.

  • How Easy Can Marketing Be? - Article by C.J. Hayden
I often speak to groups of independent professionals about what works and what doesn't in marketing. We talk about the effectiveness of active, relationship-oriented strategies like networking, building referral partnerships, public speaking to groups of potential clients, and following up persistently with interested prospects.
  • Is Your "No" Button Working? - Article by Joan Friedlander
For years, I heard that if you want to get something done, ask a busy person to do it. Implication: busy people are successful. I'm sure some people still subscribe to this philosophy. I don't any more, especially when it comes to successful business ownership.
  • Are You Marketing the Right Stuff? - Article by C.J. Hayden
Jan is a graphic designer who was always struggling to find good clients. "I could find plenty of people who needed my services," she recalls, "but they thought my rates were too high. I either ended up agreeing to work for less, or they found someone else."
  • Networking Offline with Your Online Connections - Article by Donna Feldman
A new client who is starting a business mentioned that while she was putting a lot of time and effort into her online marketing and networking, she had yet to see any tangible results (i.e. clients). She asked if she needed to add some offline activities, such as attending networking events or meeting with people one-on-one.

eBook on Using Introvert Tendencies as a Marketing Advantage

Joan Friedlander, owner of Lifework Business Partners was my guest on the Business901 Podcast and this is a transcription of the podcast. We had the opportunity to discuss creating realistic and executable marketing plans for self-employed service business owners and key members of a business team. One of Joan’s specialties is working with Introverts and our conversation extended into using those introvert tendencies as an advantage in today’s business climate. For a limited time, she has offered to make available the 5- Steps to effective Follow-up article.

Can Introvert Tendencies be a Marketing Advantage

Joan was my facilitator when I became a Get Clients NOW™ Facilitator and still offers the program and has a program starting on May 11th.  She is an outstanding instructor and I have never met anyone that facilitates a tele-seminar better.

Joan was my facilitator when I became a Get Clients NOW™ Facilitator and still offers the program and has a program starting on May 11th. She is an outstanding instructor and I have never met anyone that facilitates a teleseminar better. As a bonus, she had offered my listeners this download: 5- Steps to effective Follow-up.

Lifework business Partners works with solo-entrepreneurs and small business teams that are stretched to their limits. She works with them to improve effectiveness through a 3-pronged “workstyle approach:” focusing on high-priority outcomes, tapping into the key talents of each member of the team, and working in harmony with an individual’s unique “energy signature.”

Joan is a lifelong student of human potential and behavior. She enjoys playing in the game of business and, as she'll readily tell you, finds that's it's an excellent playground for personal growth, self-expression and learning. At the heart of her work is a purpose that she first articulated in her teen years, that all human beings have a right to pursue and engage in work that they enjoy, is satisfying & fun.

Before graduating with a degree in psychology from the University of California at Berkeley, Joan started studying alternative models for understanding and maximizing one's full potential. She brings her diverse business background - she held 21 jobs before launching her coaching business in late 2000 - and various studies to her work with her clients. Joan focuses on personal productivity and work-life balance issues.

  • Is Your Marketing Stuck for Words? - Article by C.J. Hayden
Many aspects of business are driven by numbers, but marketing often seems to be all about words. Whether it's naming your business, coming up with a tag line, or writing copy for your website, you probably spend a big chunk of your marketing time trying to find just the right words.
  • Planning to Meet Your Business Goals - Article by Donna Feldman
Many business owners start the year with a written list of things they intend to accomplish, yet by year's end these goals have either been forgotten or left by the wayside, ready to be recycled for the coming year.
  • Don't Wait for Tax Time to Look at the Bottom Line - Article by C.J. Hayden
A curious thing happens to entrepreneurs in the spring of every year. They wake up one day and realize they had better figure out how much money they made last year so they can pay their taxes. But wait, shouldn't a business owner already know how much money he or she made last year, last quarter, or last month?

Education: Your Marketing Secret Weapon - Article by Frank Traditi
Sometimes my quest for just the right information can completely consume the day. I find myself spending hours searching for the answer to a crucial question, seeking out a product to solve a business problem, or looking for an expert who can tell me what I need to know.

What's the Missing Ingredient in Your Marketing? - Article by C.J. Hayden
"How can I improve my marketing?" a student recently asked me. "I've spent hours and hours trying to get clients, and none of my efforts seem to pay off."

How do I make the right connections when networking? - Q&A by Donna Feldman
At a recent presentation on networking, we were asked this question by a graphic designer: "I'm looking to meet CEO's, CFO's or COO's, but when I'm out networking, I meet mostly middle and lower-level managers. What do I do to get to the right people?"

How Can You Sell It If They've Never Heard of It? - Article by C.J. Hayden
Selling professional services can often be a challenge because of their intangibility. When a client hires you to deliver a service such as accounting or web design, they can't see the outcome in advance. They have to trust that your work will produce a result they will like, and in most cases agree to pay you for your time regardless.

Do you notice that your clients don't do their part to make the most of your work together? You might be devaluing your services.
  • Is This the Right Business for You? - Article by C.J. Hayden
Evaluating a new business concept is one of the least glamorous aspects of launching a new product, service, or enterprise. When you are excited about a new idea, you may not want to take the time to stop and examine it critically.
  • How can I grow my one person company? - Q&A by C.J. Hayden
If you've been operating a successful professional services firm as a solopreneur, it can be a smart move to leverage your experience, contacts, and track record in the industry by adding other professionals to your team.

  • To Attract Attention, You Have to Show Off - Article by C.J. Hayden
Recently, a client of mine complained, "I'm really good at what I do. I shouldn't have to market myself." In fact, he is quite good at his profession, but the problem is that not enough prospective clients know about him. Like many professionals, he is reluctant to talk about his accomplishments.
  • How do I market myself when I'm not an extrovert? - Q&A by C.J. Hayden
It does seem that the vast majority of marketing advice is aimed at extroverts. "Go to networking mixers and meet new people," the authorities say. "Make cold calls." "Speak in front of groups." "Call people up and chat with them about what's new."
  • What's Your Business Model? - Article by C.J. Hayden
If you have enough clients to keep you busy, you must be making a good living, right? Well, not necessarily. Some of the busiest professionals around aren't earning enough to pay their bills.

28 Day Plans by Business901

28 day plans by Business901
I just released and re-released several 28 day plans that I would like to tell everyone about.
Fist of all, I am very excited about the Duct Tape Marketing 28 day plan. There has never been an introduction like this. It consist of the DTM Book, 7 Step Audio CD, a 90 minute tele-seminar and 4- 30 minute coaching sessions based on the newly released DTM Guidebook. Please e-mail if you need more info but this is a steal, Click above to find out pricing.

The Get Clients NOW program has just been updated and I have re-released the entire package again. Why? Working with many professionals I found that this program was able to Fast track many of the individuals. Creating a marketing program is one thing but implementing it is another, especially for an individual. I use the GCN product just for that. Also included is CJ’s One Person Marketing Plan outline that is excellent for that next step after 28 days.

Take a quick look, if you mention my blog I will throw in a Cd on Managing your Home Office.
